Al-Kāfi - The Book of Food

َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ ٠ُوسَى بْنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عُبَيْدٍ الْخَيَّاطِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ عَنِ ابْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠) قَالَ لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلًا عِنْدَهُ أَلْفُ دِرْهَ٠ٍ لَيْسَ عِنْدَهُ غَيْرُهَا ثُ٠َّ اشْتَرَى بِهَا سُكَّراً لَ٠8.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Musa ibn al-Hassan from ‘Ubayd al-Khayyat from ‘Abd ‘Abd al-’Aziz from ibn Sinan from a man who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If a man has one thousand dirham and he does not have anything else with him but he buys sugar with it, he is not considered a spendthrift.”” شهور - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (22/164))
