Al-Husayn from Muhammad has narrated from Muâallaâ ibn Muhammad, from Ali ibn al-Sindiy who has said, that narrated to me âIsa ibn Ibrahim from his father from his grandfather who has said the following: âOnce abu âUkashah ibn Mihsan al-Asadiy visited abu Jaâfar (a.s.), then grapes were brought for him and he (the Imam) said to him, âAn old man and small children eat one piece after one piece.
Three and three pieces or four pieces at a time eating is the manner of a person who thinks that he cannot become satisfied but you can eat two pieces at a time because it is preferable.ââ Ø´ÙÙر - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (2/189))
