Al-Kāfi - The Book of Food

Chapter: The Saltwort and Cyperus َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَحْ٠َدَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الْأَوَّلِ ( عليه السلا٠) قَالَ أَكْلُ الْأُشْنَانِ يُبْخِرُ الْفَ٠1.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Ahmad ibn Yazid who has said the following: “Abu al-Hassan al-Awwal (a.s.), has said, ’Eating saltwort disinfects the mouth.”’ جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/226))
