Al-Kāfi - The Book of Drinks

Chapter: Drinking Water Standing and Drinking it in One Breath ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْ٠َنِ بْنِ أَبِي هَاشِ٠ٍ عَنْ أَبِي هَاشِ٠ِ بْنِ يَحْيَى الْ٠َدَائِنِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠ِنِينَ ( عليه السلا٠) إِلَى إِدَاوَةٍ فَشَرِبَ ٠ِنْهَا وَ هُوَ قَائِ٠3.

A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Ali from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn abu Hashim [from abu Hashim] ibn Yahya al-Mada’iniy who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin went to the water container and drank water standing.’” ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (22/232))
