Al-Kāfi - The Book of Drinks

Chapter: Another Chapter on the above Topic عَلِيٌّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ عَنْ هِشَا٠َانَ بْنِخَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠َنْ شَرِبَ شَرْبَةً ٠ْ يَقْبَلِ اللَّهُ ٠ِنْهُ صَلَاتَهُ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْ٠11.

Ali has narrated from his father from al-Nadr ibn Suwayd from Hisham ibn Salim from Sulayman ibn Khalid who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘If one drinks one sip of wine his Salat (prayer) is not accepted for forty days.’” حسن - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (22/258))
