A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from al-Hassan ibn Ali ibn Yaqtin from Yaâqub ibn Ali ibn Yaqtin from his brother Ali ibn Yaqtin who has said the following: âAbu Ibrahim (a.s.), has said, âAllah, the most Blessed, the most High, has not made wine unlawful because of its name.
He has made it unlawful because of its consequences, therefore, whatever, works as wine does, it then is wine.ââ Ø´ÙÙر - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (2/270))
