Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Khalid and al-Husayn ibn Saâid all from al- Nadr ibn Suwayd from al-Husayn ibn âAbd Allah ibn âAbd al-Hamid from âAmr from ibn al-Jumhur who has said the following: âI once visited abu âAbd Allah (a.s.), during the days that he had come to Iraq.
He (the Imam) told me to visit âIsmaâil ibn Jaâfar because he complains and see what kind of pain has made him suffer then describe for him (the Imam) the pain he feels. I then left him (the Imam) to see Tsmaâil and asked him about his pain that he felt. He explained it to me and I prescribed a medicine in which al-Nabidh existed.
Tsmaâil said, âAl-Nabidh is unlawful and I belong to a family who do not use unlawful things as medicine.ââ جÙÙÙ - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (22/274))
