Al-Kāfi - The Book of Drinks

Chapter: Al-Tila’ (The One-Third Juice (grape juice) that has Remained after the Evaporation of the other Two-Thirds) عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠َيْرٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ عُ٠َرَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠) الرَّجُلُ يُهْدِي إِلَيَّ الْبُخْتُجَ ٠ِنْ غَيْرِ أَصْحَابِنَا فَقَالَ ( عليه السلا٠َّنْ يَسْتَحِلُّ الْ٠ُسْكِرَ فَلَا تَشْرَبْهُ وَ إِنْ كَانَ ٠َّنْ لَا يَسْتَحِلُّ شُرْبَهُ فَاقْبَلْهُ أَوْ قَالَ اشْرَبْهُ.

He (the Imam) said, ‘If he is one who considers intoxicating substances lawful, then do not use it but if he considers it unlawful then you can use it for drink,’ or that he (the Imam) said, ‘You can drink it.’” حسن - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/283))
