Al-Kāfi - The Book of Dresses, Beautification and Kindness Chapter: Clothes Dyed with al-MiCasfar (dye with safflower) ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِ٠َانَ عَنْ جَرَّاحٍ الْ٠َدَائِنِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلا٠) قَالَ إِنَّا نَلْبَسُ الْ٠ُعَصْفَرَاتِ وَ الْ٠6.

A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from al-Nadr ibn Suwayd from al-Qasim ibn Sulayman from Jarrah al-Mad’iniy who has said the following: “Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘Wearing clothes of sharp color is not desirable except for weddings/” شهور - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/325))
