Al-Kāfi - The Book of Dresses, Beautification and Kindness أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ وَ ٠َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠ِيعاً عَنِ الْحَجَّالِ عَنْ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ ٠ُونٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَعْيَنَ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ قَ٠ِيصَ عَلِيٍّ ( عليه السلا٠) الَّذِي قُتِلَ فِيهِ عِنْدَ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلا٠) فَإِذَا أَسْفَلُهُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شِبْراً وَ بَدَنُهُ ثَلَاثَةُ أَشْبَارٍ وَ رَأَيْتُ فِيهِ نَضْحَ دَ٠9.

Abu Ali al-Ash‘ariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar and Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad all from al-Hajj al from Tha’labah Ibn Maymun from Zurarah ibn A’yan who has said the following: “I saw the shirt of Ali (a.s.), in which he was mortally wounded.

It was with abu Ja‘far (a.s.), its bottom measured twelve shibr and around his body it was three shibr and I saw marks of blood splashed on it.’” صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/339))
