Al-Kāfi - The Book of Dresses, Beautification and Kindness Chapter: The Words to Say when Wearing New clothes َّدٍ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ أَبِي حَ٠َّادٍ عَنْ غَيْرِ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠َنْ قَرَأَ إِنَّا أَنْزَلْنَاهُ ثِنْتَيْنِ وَ ثَلَاثِينَ ٠َرَّةً فِي إِنَاءٍ جَدِيدٍ وَ رَشَّ بِهِ ثَوْبَهُ الْجَدِيدَ إِذَا لَبِسَهُ لَ٠ْ يَزَلْ يَأْكُلُ فِي سَعَةٍ ٠4.

Ali ibn Muhammad has narrated from Salih ibn abu Hammad from more than one person who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If one reads Chapter 97 of the Quran thirty-two times on a bowl of water and sprinkles it on a new dress just before wearing it, he will continue to eat affluently as long as a fiber thereof is left with him.’” ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (22/341))
