A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Jaâfar ibn Muhammad al-Ashâariy from ibn al-Qaddah who has said the following: âAbu âAbd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, wore the ring on his left hand which was of gold then he appeared among people who continued staring at it.
He (the Messenger of Allah) placed his right hand on the pinky (little finger) of his left hand until he returned home; then threw it and did not wear it again.ââ From abu âAbd Allah (a.s.), a narration, similar to the above Hadith, is also made by a number of our people from Ahmad ibn Muhammad, from al-Washshaâ, from al-Muthannaâ, from Hatim ibn âIsmaâil.
