Al-Kāfi - The Book of Dresses, Beautification and Kindness عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَ ٠َاعِيلَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ جَ٠ِيعاً عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠َيْرٍ عَنْ هِشَا٠ِ عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ الْبَخْتَرِيِّ أَنَّ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠) كَانَ يَطْلِي إِبْطَهُ بِالنُّورَةِ فِي الْحَ٠3.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from and Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il has narrated from al-Fadl ibn Shadhan from all Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hisham ibn al-Hakam from Flafs ibn al-Bakhtariy who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), would apply lime paste on his underarms in the bathhouse.’” حسن كالصحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (22/412))
