Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father [from Ibn Abi âUmayr] from Jamil ibn Darraj from Zurarah who has narrated the following: âAbout the case of a man who frees his slave at the time of his death with debt on him, one of the two Imam, (abu Jaâfar or abu âAbd Allah), âAlayhim al-Salam, has said, âIf the value of the debt and slave are equal, freeing is permissible, otherwise, it is not permissible.ââ ØØ³Ù - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (23/44))
