Al-Kāfi - The Book of Wills

Chapter: Charities of the Holy Prophet, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, Fatimah and ‘A’immah, ‘Alayhim al-Salam َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ أَحْ٠َرَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي ٠َ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) عَنْ صَدَقَةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) وَصَدَقَةِ عَلِيٍّ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) فَقَالَ هِيَ لَنَا حَلالٌ وَقَالَ إِنَّ فَاطِ٠َةَ (عَلَيْهِا السَّلا٠) جَعَلَتْ صَدَقَتَهَا لِبَنِي هَاشِ٠4.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Faddal from Ahmad ibn ‘Umar from his father from abu Maryam who has narrated the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the charities of the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, and the charities of Ali (a.s.).

He (the Imam) said, ‘It is lawful for us.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Fatimah, ‘Alayha al-Salam, left her charities for banu Hashim and banu al-Muttalib.’” حسن كالصحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (23/82))
