Al-Kāfi - The Book of Inheritance Chapter: Son of a Brother with a Grandfather 1- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠َيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ عَنْ ٠ٍ قَالَ نَشَرَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) صَحِيفَةً فَأَوَّلُ ٠َا تَلَقَّانِي فِيهَا ابْنُ أَخٍ وَجَدٌّ الْ٠َا نِصْفَانِ فَقُلْتُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ إِنَّ الْقُضَاةَ عِنْدَنَا لا يَقْضُونَ لابْنِ الأخِ ٠َعَ الْجَدِّ بِشَيْ‏ءٍ فَقَالَ إِنَّ هَذَا الْكِتَابَ خَطُّ عَلِيٍّ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ْلاءُ رَسُولِ اللهِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه).

I said, ‘I pray to Allah to keep my soul in service for your cause, the judges do not judge for the son of brothers with a grandfather anything.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘This book is in handwriting of Ali (a.s.), as dictated to him by the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause.”’ حسن - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (3/167))
