Al-Kāfi - The Book of Inheritance Chapter: A Deceased Leaves behind Just his Wife َيْدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ ٠َّدٍ عَنْ وُهَيْبِ بْنِ حَفْصٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) فِي رَجُلٍ تُوُفِّيَ وَتَرَكَ ا٠ْرَأَتَهُ فَقَالَ لِلْ٠َرْأَةِ الرُّبُعُ وَ٠َا بَقِيَ فَلِلإ٠3.

Humayd ibn Ziyad has narrated from al-Hassan ibn Muhammad from Wuhayb ibn Hafs from abu Basir who has narrated the following: “About the case of a woman who dies and leaves behind her husband, abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘One-fourth belongs to the woman and the rest belongs to the Imam.’” وثق - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (3/186))
