Al-Kāfi - The Book of Inheritance Chapter: Inheritance of Relatives with Mawali 2- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجْرَانَ عَنْ عَاصِ٠َّدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ِنِينَ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) فِي خَالَةٍ جَاءَتْ تُخَاصِ٠َاتَ فَقَرَأَ هَذِهِ الآيَةَ وَأُولُوا الأرْحا٠ْ أَوْلى‏ بِبَعْضٍ فِي كِتابِ اللهِ فَدَفَعَ الْ٠ِيرَاثَ إِلَى الْخَالَةِ وَلَ٠2.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu Najran from ‘Asem ibn Humayd from Muhammad ibn Qays who has narrated the following: “Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said that ’ Amir al-Mu’minin, issued a judgment in the case of a maternal aunt who disputed against a Mawla’ (master) of a man who had died.
