Al-Kāfi - The Book of Inheritance Chapter: If a Deceased Leaves Behind Muslim and non-Muslim Heirs َّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ التَّيْ٠ِيِّ عَنْ أَخِيهِ أَحْ٠َدَ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ ٠َّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ رِبَاطٍ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ قَالَ أَ٠ِنِينَ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلا ذِ٠َ وَأَبُوهُ حَيٌّ وَلأبِيهِ وَلَدٌ غَيْرُهُ ثُ٠َاتَ الأبُ وَرِثَهُ الْ٠ْ يَرِثْهُ وَلَدُهُ وَلا ا٠1.

Ahmad ibn Muhammad has narrated from Ali ibn al-Hassan al-Tamimiy from his brother Ahmad ibn al-Hassan from his father from Ja‘far ibn Muhammad from ibn Ribat in a marfu’ manner has said, the following: “’Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s.), has said, ’If a Dhimmiy (taxpayer) becomes a Muslim when his father is living who has children besides him, then the father dies, the Muslim inherits all of his legacy and his other children and wife do not inherit anything with a Muslim.’” رفوع - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (23/219))
