A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from âUthman ibn âIsa from abu Ayyub al-Khazzaz who has said the following: âI once heard abu â Abd Allah (a.s.), saying, âDo not swear by Allah, regardless, you are truthful or not truthful; Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, says, âDo not swear by Allah unnecessarily.ââ (2:224)â ÙØ«Ù - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (24/307))
