Abu Ali al-Ashâariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn âAbd al-Jabbar from Safwan ibn Yahya from al-âAlaâ from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has narrated the following: âI once asked one of the two Imam, (abu Jaâfar or abu âAbd Allah), âAlayhim al-Salam, about the case of a man who has made a vow and commitment to walk to the House of Allah but cannot do so.
He (the Imam) said, âHe can perform al-Hajj and ride.ââ صØÙØ - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (4/348))
