Al-Kāfi - The Book - Garden (of Flowers) Chapter: Ali ibn al-Husayn’s AS visiting his Father AS َّدٍ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ أَبِي حَ٠َّادٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَ٠َالِكِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي حَ٠ْزَةَ قَالَ إِنَّ أَوَّلَ ٠َا عَرَفْتُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ الْحُسَيْنِ (عليه السلا٠) أَنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَجُلًا دَخَلَ ٠ِنْ بَابِ الْفِيلِ فَصَلَّى أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ فَتَبِعْتُهُ حَتَّى أَتَى بِئْرَ الزَّكَاةِ وَ هِيَ عِنْدَ دَارِ صَالِحِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ وَ إِذَا بِنَاقَتَيْنِ ٠َعْقُولَتَيْنِ وَ ٠ٌ أَسْوَدُ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ ٠َنْ هَذَا فَقَالَ هَذَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ (عليه السلا٠) فَدَنَوْتُ إِلَيْهِ فَسَلَّ٠ْتُ عَلَيْهِ وَ قُلْتُ لَهُ ٠َكَ بِلَاداً قُتِلَ فِيهَا أَبُوكَ وَ جَدُّكَ فَقَالَ زُرْتُ أَبِي وَ صَلَّيْتُ فِي هَذَا الْ٠َّ قَالَ هَا هُوَ ذَا وَجْهِي صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ.

So I said to him, ‘Who is this one?’ He said, ‘This is Ali (asws) Bin Al-Husayn (asws). So I approached him (asws). I greeted him (asws) and said to him (asws), ‘What is the reason that you (asws) have walked into the city in which your (asws) father (asws), and your (asws) grandfather were killed?’ So he (asws) said: ‘I (asws) visited (Ziyarat) my (asws) father, and Prayed in this Masjid’. Then said: ‘This is where I (asws) have turned my (asws) attention to.
