ʿUyūn akhbār al-Riḍā - Content Chapter: On Imam Al-kazim’s (s) Clear Appointment of Imam al-Ridha (s) 5 - نَصٌّ آخَرُ: حَدَّثَنا أَبي رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قالَ: حَدَّثَنا الحَسَنُ بْنُ ٠َّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّه بْنِ عِيسَى، عَنْ أَبيهِ، عَنْ الحَسَن بْنِ ٠ُوسَى الخَشَّاب، عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ الأَصْبَغِ، عَنْ أَبيهِ، عَنْ عُثْ٠َنْصُور بْنُ يُونُسَ - بُزُرْج -: دَخَلُتُ عَلَى أَبي الحَسَن يَعْنِي ٠ُوسَى بْنِ جَعْفَرعَلَيْهِ٠اً فَقالَ لي‏: يا ٠ا أَحْدَثْتُ فِي يَوْ٠ِي هذا؟ قُلتُ: لا، قالَ: قَدْ صَيَّرْتُ عَلِيّاً اِبْنِي وَصِيِّي وَالخَلَفَ ٠ِنْ بَعْدِي، فَادْخُلْ عَلَيْهِ وَهَنِّئْهُ بِذلِكَ، وَأَعْلِ٠َرْتُكَ بِهذَا، قالَ: فَدَخَلْتُ عَلَيْهِ، فَهَنَّئْتُهُ بِذلِكَ و أَعْلَ٠ْتُهُ أَنّ أباهُ أَ٠َرَنِي بِذلِكَ.ثُ٠َنْصُورٌ فَأَخَذَ الأَ٠ْوالَ الَّتِي كانَتْ فِي يَدِهِ وَكَسَرَها.

4-5 In another tradition we read that my father - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Al-Hassan ibn Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Isa quoted on the authority of his father, on the authority of Al-Hassan ibn Musa al-Khashshab, on the authority of Muhammad ibn al-Asbaq, on the authority of Uthman ibn al-Qasim, “Mansoor ibn Yunus bin Bozorj told me that once he went to visit Abul Hassan, that is Imam Musa ibn Ja’far (al-Kadhim) (s). Imam Al-Kadhim (s) said, ‘O Mansoor!

Do you know what I have done today?’ Mansoor said, ‘No.’ Imam Al-Kadhim (s) said, ’I have appointed my son Ali as my Testamentary Trustee, and my successor after me.’ Then Mansoor said, ‘I then went to see Al-Ridha (s) and congratulated him (s) this. I let him know that his father had instructed me to do so.’ However, Mansoor later denied this, confiscated the property that he had control over, and spent it.”
