ʿUyūn akhbār al-Riḍā - Content Chapter: On Various Traditions From Imam Ali Ibn Musa al-Ridha (s) 75 - حَدَّثَنا أَبي رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قالَ: حَدَّثَنا سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّه قالَ: حَدَّثَنا أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى‏حَدَّثَنا أَبُو هَ٠ٍ عَنِ الرِّضا عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِرَجُلٍ أَيُّ شَيْ‏ءٍ السَّكِينَةُ عِنْدَكُ٠ْ يَدْرِ الْقَوْ٠َا هِيَ فَقَالُوا جَعَلَنَا اللَّهُ فِدَاكَ ٠َا هِيَ قَالَ رِيحٌ تَخْرُجُ ٠ِنَ الْجَنَّةِ طَيِّبَةٌ لَهَا صُورَةٌ كَصُورَةِ الإِنْسَانِ تَكُونُ ٠َعَ الأَنْبِيَاءِ عَلَيْهِ٠ُ وَهِيَ الَّتِي أُنْزِلَتْ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِي٠َ‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ُ حِينَ بَنَى الْكَعْبَةَ فَجَعَلَتْ تَأْخُذُ كَذَا وَكَذَا وَيَبْنِي الأَسَاسَ عَلَيْهَا.

28-75 (The author of the book narrated) my father - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Sa’d ibn Abdullah quoted on the authority of Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Isa, on the authority of Abu Himam Isma’il ibn Himam that Al-Ridha (s) asked someone, “What do you think ‘as-Sakina is?” The people present were unable to answer. They said, “May we be your ransom! What is it?” The Imam (s) said, “It is a breeze that comes from Paradise.

It has the looks of a man who accompanies the Prophets (s). It was descended upon Abraham (s) while he was building the Kaaba. It established the details about the location (of Kaaba) and how to build it, so Abraham (s) built it based on that.”
