ʿUyūn akhbār al-Riḍā - Content Chapter: Traditions about Ar-Ridha (a.s.) 40 - وَبِهذَا الإِسنادِ قالَ: قالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ‏ صَلَّى اللهُعَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ: كَأَنِّي قَدْ دُعِيتُ فَأُجِبتُ، وَإِنِّي تارِكُ فِيكُ٠ُ الثَّقَلَيْنِ أَحَدَهُ٠ِنَ الآخَرِ - كِتابَ اللَّهِ - حَبْلٌ ٠اءِ إِلَى الأَرْضِ - وَعِتْرَتِي - أَهْلَ بَيْتِي - فَانظُروا كَيْفَ تَخلُفُونِي فيهِ٠31-40 According to the same documentation, God’s Prophet (S) said, “It seems that I have been called in and I have accepted the call.

I will depart you, but will leave two weighty things with you one of which is greater than the other one. It is God’s Book that is a rope extended out from the heavens onto the Earth. The other one is my ‘Itrat; that is members of my Household. Therefore watch and see how you treat these two after me.”
