ʿUyūn akhbār al-Riḍā - Content Chapter: Traditions about Ar-Ridha (a.s.) 164 - وَبِهذَا الإِسناد عَنْ عَلِىِّ بْنِ الحُسَيْن‏عَلَيْهِ٠ُ قالَ: أَخَذ النَّاسِ ثَلاثَةً ٠ِن ثَلاثَةٍ أَخَذوا الصَّبرَ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ُ وَالشُّكرَ عَنْ نُوحٍ‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ُ وَالحَسَدُ عَن بَنِي يَعْقُوبَ.

31-164 According to the same documentation, on the authority of Ali ibn Al-Husayn (a.s.), “The people have acquired the following three things from the following persons: Perseverance from Job (Ayyoub) (a.s.), gratitude from Noah (a.s.) and jealousy from Jacob’s children.”
