Chapter: What is Related Regarding the Vision د ب٠اÙÙÙÙد رض٠اÙÙ٠عÙÙ ÙاÙ: ØدثÙا ٠د ب٠اÙØس٠اÙصÙØ§Ø±Ø ÙاÙ: ØدثÙا Ø£Ø٠اÙجعÙرÙØ Ø¹Ù Ø£Ø¨Ù Ø§ÙØس٠اÙرضا عÙÙ٠اÙسÙا٠ÙاÙ: سأÙت٠ع٠اÙÙ٠عز Ùج٠ÙÙ ÙÙصÙØ ÙÙاÙ: أ٠ا تÙرء اÙÙرآÙØ!
ÙÙت: بÙÙØ ÙاÙ: أ٠ا تÙرء ÙÙÙ٠عز ÙجÙ: (Ùا تدرÙ٠اÙأبصار ÙÙÙ Ùدر٠اÙأبصار) ÙÙت: بÙÙØ ÙاÙ: ÙتعرÙÙ٠اÙØ£Ø¨ØµØ§Ø±Ø ÙÙت: بÙÙØ ÙاÙ: Ù٠ا ÙÙØ ÙÙت: أبصار اÙعÙÙÙ ÙÙاÙ: إ٠أÙÙا٠٠أبصار اÙعÙÙÙ ÙÙÙ Ùا تدرÙ٠اÙØ£ÙÙا٠11.
Muhammad ibn al-Hasan ibn Ahmad ibn al-Walid (RA) said: Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-Saffar said: Ahmad ibn Muhammad said on the authority of Abu Hashim al-Ja`fari, on the authority of Abu al- Hasan (`Ali) al-Rida (AS) that I asked him whether it is possible to describe Allah, the Mighty and High.
Hence, he replied: âDo you not read the Qur`an?â I responded: âWhat do you mean?â He said: âDo you not read the Word of the Mighty and High: Vision comprehends Him not, and He comprehends (all) vision.2 I answered: âSo?â He (AS) asked: âThen do you know what vision means?â I replied: âSureâ He (AS) said: âWhat is t?â I said: âThe vision of the eyes.â Hence, he (AS) explained: âVerily, the imagination of the mind is greater than the vision of the eyes.
