ThawÄb al-AÊ¿mÄl wa Ê¿iqÄb al-AÊ¿mÄl - Rewards Chapter: Reward of Fasting on Eid-e-Ghadeer 1. My father (rah) said: it was narrated to us by Saâd b. Abdillah who said it was narrated to us by Ibrahim b. Hashim from al-Qasim b. Yahya from his grandfather al-Hassan b. Rashid from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said: âObserve fast on this day and recite Durood on Muhammad (s.a.w.s.) and his progeny in excess. Also keep away from those people who troubled them and denied their rights.
Prophets used to order to observe the day of appointment of their successor as Eid.â He asked, âWhat is the reward of a person fasting on this day?â Imam (a.s.) replied, âHe would get the reward of fasting for sixty months. Similarly donât leave the fast on 27th Rajab for the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) was appointed as prophet on this day and its reward is also equal to the fasts of sixty months.â
