Thawāb al-Aʿmāl wa ʿiqāb al-Aʿmāl - Rewards Chapter: Reward of Ziyarat of Imam Husain (a.s.) أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ أَبِی الْخَطَّابِ عَنْ دَاوُدَ الْ٠ُسْتَرِقِّ عَنْ أُ٠ِّ سَعِیدٍ الْأَحْ٠َسِیَّهِ قَالَتْ کُنْتُ عِنْدَ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع وَ قَدْ بَعَثْتُ ٠َنْ یَکْتَرِی لِی حِ٠َاراً إِلَی قُبُورِ الشُّهَدَاءِ فَقَالَ ع ٠ِنْ سَیِّدِ الشُّهَدَاءِ قَالَتْ قُلْتُ وَ ٠َنْ هَذَا جُعِلْتُ فِدَاکَ قَالَ فَذَلِکَ الْحُسَیْنُ بْنُ عَلِیٍّ ع قَالَتْ قُلْتُ وَ ٠َنْ زَارَهُ قَالَ حِجَّهٌ وَ عُ٠ِنَ الْخَیْرِ کَذَا وَ کَذَا عَدَّ ثَلَاثَ ٠َرَّاتٍ بِیَدِهِ.

Imam (a.s.) asked her, “Why don’t you go for the Ziyarat of the chief of the martyrs?” She asked, “May I be sacrificed for you, who is the chief of the martyrs?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “Imam Husain (a.s.) is the chief of martyrs.” She asked, “What is the reward of one who does his Ziyarat?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “It is equal to a Hajj and Umrah.” Then showing his three fingers he conveyed that the reward is three times that of performing that deed.
