Thawāb al-Aʿmāl wa ʿiqāb al-Aʿmāl - Rewards Chapter: Reward of patching clothes and shoes and carrying one’s own luggage أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی أَحْ٠َدُ بْنُ إِدْرِیسَ عَنْ ٠َدَ عَنْ یَعْقُوبَ بْنِ یَزِیدَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِی نَجْرَانَ یَرْفَعُهُ إِلَی أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: ٠َنْ رَقَعَ جَیْبَهُ وَ خَصَفَ نَعْلَهُ وَ حَ٠َلَ سِلْعَتَهُ فَقَدْ بَرِئَ ٠1.

My father (rah) said: it was narrated to me by Ahmad b. Idris from Muhammad b. Ahmad from Ya’qub b. Yazid from Ibn Abi Najran who raised it to Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said: “One who patches his clothes, stitches his shoes and carries his own luggage will remain away from pride.”
