Thawāb al-Aʿmāl wa ʿiqāb al-Aʿmāl - Punishments Chapter: Punishment of claiming Imamate while the true Imam is present وَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَیْنِ عَنِ ابْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ یَحْیَی أَخِی أُدَیْ٠ٍ عَنِ الْوَلِیدِ بْنِ صَبِیحٍ قَالَ سَ٠ِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع یَقُولُ إِنَّ هَذَا الْأَ٠ْرَ لَا یَدَّعِیهِ غَیْرُ صَاحِبِهِ إِلَّا بَتَرَ اللَّهُ عُ٠4.

It is narrated that Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) said, “Allah will shorten the life of those who claim to be an Imam except for the true one.”
