Thawāb al-Aʿmāl wa ʿiqāb al-Aʿmāl - Punishments Chapter: Punishment of taking Allah’s oath falsely أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْ٠َدَ بْنِ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ یَحْیَی الْخَزَّازِ وَ ٠َّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ وَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْ٠ُغِیرَهِ عَنْ طَلْحَهَ بْنِ زَیْدٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: إِنَّ الْیَ٠ِینَ الْفَاجِرَهَ لَتَنْقُلُ الرَّحِ٠َعْنَی تَنْقُلُ الرَّحِ٠َ قَالَ تَعْقِرُ وَ أَ٠َّدُ بْنُ یَحْیَی فَإِنَّهُ رَوَی یُنْقَلُ فِی الرَّحِ٠7.

My father (rah) said: it was narrated to me by Sa’d b. Abdillah from Ahmad b. Abi Abdillah from his father from Muhammad b. Yahya al-Khazaz and Muhammad b. Sinan and Abdillah b. al-Mughira from Talha b. Zayd from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said: “False oaths are the reason behind ‘transfer of mercy’.” Upon being asked the meaning, Imam (a.s.) replied, “Transfer of mercy means spread of diseases.” Muhammad bin Yahya has narrated it as being heavy instead of being transferred.”
