Kāmil al-Ziyārāt - Content

Chapter: The Merits of the Euphrates River, Drinking from Its Water, and Performing Ghusl in It َّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ ٠َهْزِيَارَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ ٠َهْزِيَارَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَ٠ِ عَنْ عَرَفَةَ عَنْ رِبْعِيٍّ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) شَاطِئُ وادي [الْوَادِي الْأَيْ٠َنِ الَّذِي ذَكَرُهُ تَعَالَى فِي كِتَابِهِ هُوَ الْفُرَاتُ وَ الْبُقْعَةُ الْ٠ُبَارَكَةُ هِيَ كَرْبَلَاءُ وَ الشَّجَرَةُ هِيَ ٠10.

Muḥammad ibn Ḥasan ibn ‘Ali ibn Mahziyār narrated to me from his father, from his grandfather ‘Ali ibn Mahziyār, from Ḥasan ibn Sa’īd, from ‘Ali ibn Ḥakam, from ‘Arafah, from Rib’ī, who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) said: “The shores in the right side of the valley” (28:30), which Allāh has mentioned in His Book, is the Euphrates (River); “the blessed spot” (28:30) is Karbalā and “the tree” (28:30) is Muḥammad (s.a.a.w.).
