اسمه وكنيته ونسبه أبو عبد الله، وقيل: أبو عمرو، بلال بن رباح الحبشي، مولى رسول الله(صلى الله عليه وآله). Name, Surname and Lineage: Abu Abdullah and was also Abu Amr, Bilal ibn Rabah al-Habashi, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah -saww . ولادته لم تُحدّد لنا المصادر تاريخ ولادته ومكانها، إلاّ أنّه من أعلام القرن الأوّل الهجري. Date of Birth: We do not know the exact date and place of birth but it is estimated that it was in the first century of Islamic calendar (After Hijrat).
صحبته كان(رضي الله عنه) من أصحاب رسول الله(صلى الله عليه وآله). Companion: (Bilal) was one (may Allah be pleased with him) of the companions of the Messenger of Allah -saww . جوانب من حياته يُعدّ من السابقين إلى الإسلام، وتحمّل الأذى الكثير في سبيل الله عندما كان في مكّة، شأنه في ذلك شأن الأبرار من الصحابة الذين أسلموا في بداية الدعوة السرّية، وشهد بدراً وأُحداً والخندق والمشاهد كلّها مع رسول الله(ص)، وكان مؤذّناً لرسول الله(صلى الله عليه وآله).
