See the Hadith below...
And (Imam) Hassan -asws ibn Ali -asws saw that people were playing, laughing and enjoying on the Eid of Eid-ul-Fitr, Imam -asws pointed out to his -asws companions and said: Allah -azwj has Made the month of Ramazan like a race-course for horses, in which people compete against each other to secure the rewards of Allah -azwj , as a result one group goes ahead and wins while the other group lags behind and loses.
But I am surprised (rather) very much surprised to see them, laughing and playing around in vain, but if the curtains are lifted from their eyes, they would realised how people are punished for their sins and others are rewarded for their good deeds.
Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father, who from his father, who from ibn Abu Umayr, who from Hisham ibn Al-Hakam, who says: Abu Abd Allah said: Of the most beloved deeds to Allah -azwj is ‘ سُرُوراً ’ the pleasing of the heart of a Momin (believer), by means of satisfying his hunger, relief for his suffering or paying off his debt. [17] The Divine Gifts are not the ‘Gifts of Kings’!
