Give Away Charity Early in the Morning قال : وقال ـ يعني : الصادق ( عليه السلام ) ـ : باكروا بالصدقة فإن البلايا لا تتخطاها ، ومن تصدق بصدقة أول النهار دفع الله عنه شر ما ينزل من السماء في ذلك اليوم ، فإن تصدق أول الليل دفع الله عنه شر ما ينزل من السماء في تلك الليلة Sheykh Al Sadouq has narrated that the Holy Imam Ja’far Al Sadiq -asws has said: ‘Give charity early in the morning as afflictions will not come near you.

Whoever gives charity in the early part of the day then Allah -azwj will keep him safe from every evil that descends from the sky during that day, and if he were to give charity in the early part of the night then Allah -azwj will protect him from every evil that descends from the sky during the night.

Secure yourself through Charity When Expecting Misfortune وعن علي بن محمد بن عبدالله ، عن أحمد بن محمد بن خالد ، عن أبيه ، عن فضالة بن أيوب ، عمن ذكره ، عن محمد بن مسلم قال : كنت مع أبي جعفر ( عليه السلام ) في مسجد الرسول ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم ) فسقطت شرفة من شرف المسجد فوقعت على رجل فلم تضره وأصابت رجله ، فقال أبوجعفر ( عليه السلام ) : سلوه أي شيء عمل اليوم ؟ فسألوه ، فقال : خرجت وفي كمي تمر فمررت بسائل فتصدقت عليه بتمرة ، فقال أبوجعفر ( عليه السلام ) : بها دفع الله عنك .

Muhammad Bin Muslim narrates that he was sitting near the Holy Imam Muhammad Baqir -asws in the Holy Prophet -saww ’s Mosque when a small pebble fell on a person and struck him on his leg, but did not cause him any damage. The Holy Imam -asws said: ‘Ask this man what he has done today’. He replied: ‘When I left home today I had some dates on me. I passed by a beggar and gave him one date’. The Holy Imam -asws said: ‘This is why Allah -azwj has kept this affliction away from you’.
