Al-Kāfi - The Book about people with Divine Authority Chapter: The birth of Amir al-Mu’minin Ali (a.s.) 10ـ عَبْدُ الله بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ وَسَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الله جَ٠ِيعاً عَنْ إِبْرَاهِي٠َهْزِيَارَ عَنْ أَخِيهِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ ٠َهْزِيَارَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ ٠َحْبُوبٍ عَنْ هِشَا٠ٍ عَنْ حَبِيبٍ السِّجِسْتَانِيِّ قَالَ سَ٠ِعْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) يَقُولُ وُلِدَتْ فَاطِ٠َّدٍ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) بَعْدَ ٠َبْعَثِ رَسُولِ الله بِخَ٠ْسِ سِنِينَ وَتُوُفِّيَتْ وَلَهَا ثَ٠َانَ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً وَخَ٠ْسَةٌ وَسَبْعُونَ يَوْ٠10.

‘Abdallah ibn Ja‘far and Sa‘d ibn ‘Abdallah together have narrated from Ibrahim ibn Mahziyar from his brother, Ali ibn Mahziyar from al-Hassan ibn Mahbub from Hisham ibn Salim from Habib al-Sajistani who has said the following.

“I heard abu Ja‘far (a.s.) say, “Fatima, daughter of the Holy Prophet (s.a) was born five years after the proclaimed to be the Messenger of Allah and she passed away when she was eighteen years and seventy five days old.” يخرجه - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi) حسن - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (5/311))
