Al-Kāfi - The Book of Social Manners Chapter: Offering the Greeting of Peace ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْ٠َانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ خَارِجَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠ِنَ التَّوَاضُعِ أَنْ تُسَلِّ٠12.

A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Harun ibn Kharijah from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “It is of humility to offer the greeting of peace to whomever you meet.” صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (12/542))
