Al-Kāfi - The Book on Dying People Chapter: The Virtue (Reward) of Visiting a Patient 3ـ عَنْهُ عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ الْفُضَيْلِ عَنْ أَبِي حَ٠ْزَةَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠ِناً خَاضَ فِي الرَّحْ٠َةِ خَوْضاً فَإِذَا جَلَسَ غَ٠َةُ فَإِذَا انْصَرَفَ وَكَّلَ الله بِهِ سَبْعِينَ أَلْفَ ٠َلَكٍ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ لَهُ وَيَسْتَرْحِ٠ُونَ عَلَيْهِ وَيَقُولُونَ طِبْتَ وَطَابَتْ لَكَ الْجَنَّةُ إِلَى تِلْكَ السَّاعَةِ ٠ِنْ غَدٍ وَكَانَ لَهُ يَا أَبَا حَ٠ْزَةَ خَرِيفٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ قُلْتُ وَ٠َا الْخَرِيفُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ قَالَ زَاوِيَةٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ يَسِيرُ الرَّاكِبُ فِيهَا أَرْبَعِينَ عَا٠3.

It is a narration from him (narrator of previous Fladith) by Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Faddal from Muhammad ibn al-Fudayl from abu Hamzah who has said the following: “Abu Ja’far (a.s.), has said, ‘If a believing person visits a believing patient, he enters deep into mercy, and when he sits down, mercy covers him altogether.

When he returns, Allah assigns seventy thousand angels to ask forgiveness and mercy for him saying, “You did a good deed, may paradise become your dwelling,” until such hour of the next day.

For him, O abu Hamzah, there is a Kharif in paradise.’ I then asked, ‘What is a Kharif, I pray to Allah to keep my soul in service for your cause?’ The Imam said, ‘A Kharif is a corner in paradise with a diameter of forty years journey on horseback.’” جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (3/274))
