Al-Kāfi - The Book of Prayer

Chapter: Recitations in Salah (prayer) َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَ٠ِ عَنِ الْعَلاَءِ بْنِ رَزِينٍ عَنْ ٠ٍ قَالَ سُئِلَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠) عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَؤُ٠َ فَيَغْلَطُ قَالَ يَفْتَحُ عَلَيْهِ ٠23.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from al-’Ala’ ibn Razin from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), was asked about a man who leads people in Salah (prayer) and makes a mistake. He (the Imam) said, ‘Those behind him open it up for him (help to correct him).”’ صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (5/114))
