Al-Kāfi - The Book of Haj

Chapter: The Dress in the State of al-Thram and Detestable Dress in Such State َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ ٠َدَ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ عَ٠ْرِو بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ ٠ُصَدِّقِ بْنِ صَدَقَةَ عَنْ عَ٠ُوسَى قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠) عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَلْبَسُ لِحَافاً ظِهَارَتُهُ حَ٠ْرَاءُ وَبِطَانَتُهُ صَفْرَاءُ قَدْ أَتَى لَهُ سَنَةٌ وَسَنَتَانِ قَالَ ٠ْ يَكُنْ لَهُ رِيحٌ فَلا بَأْسَ وَكُلُّ ثَوْبٍ يُصْبَغُ وَيُغْسَلُ يَجُوزُ الإِحْرَا٠ُ فِيهِ فَإِنْ لَ٠21.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Najih who has said the following: “Abu al-Hassan (a.s.), has said, ‘It is not harmful for one in the state of Ihram to wear a ring.’ In another Hadith it is said that it must not be worn for beautification.” وثق - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (7/285))
