Ibn abu âUmayr has narrated from certain persons of his people who have said the following: âIf one hunts by mistake, he always owes expiation for whatever he becomes involved with.
However, if one kills intentionally, he owes expiation only once; and this is to which reference is made by the words of Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, âThose who repeat transgression, Allah retaliates against them.â (5:96)â ÙØ«Ù - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (17/389))
