Al-Kāfi - The Book of Commerce Chapter: The Case of Prices of Goods َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َاعِيلَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْ٠َاعِيلَ السَّرَّاجِ عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ عُ٠َرَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ غَلاءُ السِّعْرِ يُسِي‏ءُ الْخُلُقَ وَيُذْهِبُ الأ٠َانَةَ وَيُضْجِرُ الْ٠6.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn ‘Isma’il al-Sarraj from Hafs ibn ‘Umar from a man who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘High prices worsens moral discipline, destroy trust and cause suffering to the Muslims.’” جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (9/154))
