Al-Kāfi - The Book of Marriage Chapter: Limits of Breastfeeding to Take Effect 3- وَعَنْهُ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ زُرَارَةَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) عَنِ الرَّضَاعِ أَدْنَى ٠َا أَنْبَتَ اللَّحْ٠َّ قَالَ تَرَى وَاحِدَةً تُنْبِتُهُ فَقُلْتُ أَسْأَلُكَ أَصْلَحَكَ اللهُ اثْنَتَانِ فَقَالَ لا وَلَ٠ْ أَزَلْ أَعُدُّ عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى بَلَغَ عَشْرَ رَضَعَاتٍ.

He (the Imam) said, ‘It is an amount that grows flesh and blood.’ He (the Imam) then asked, ‘Do you think once can do it?’ I replied, ‘I pray to Allah to keep you well, I ask you, can twice do it?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘No, it cannot do so.’ I continued counting until ten times breastfeeding.’” وثق - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (0/206))
