Al-Kāfi - The Book of Marriage Chapter: Permissible Time Length َّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ خَلَفِ بْنِ حَ٠َّادٍ قَالَ أَرْسَلْتُ إِلَى أَبِي الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ْ أَدْنَى أَجَلِ الْ٠ُتْعَةِ هَلْ يَجُوزُ أَنْ يَتَ٠َتَّعَ الرَّجُلُ بِشَرْطِ ٠َرَّةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ قَالَ نَعَ٠4.

Muhammad has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Khalid from Khalaf ibn Hammad who has said the following: “I once sent (a message) to abu al-Hassan (a.s.), and asked, ‘How much is the minimum duration of time in al-Mut‘ah (advantageous marriage) and if it is permissible to set the time for only one time going to bed. He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, it is permissible.’” صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (20/246))
