Al-Kāfi - The Book of Marriage Chapter: The Right of Wife on Husband َّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ ذُبْيَانَ بْنِ حَكِي٠ٍ عَنْ بُهْلُولِ بْنِ ٠ٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ عَ٠َّارٍ قَالَ زَوَّجَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) جَارِيَةً كَانَتْ لإسْ٠َاعِيلَ ابْنِهِ فَقَالَ أَحْسِنْ إِلَيْهَا فَقُلْتُ وَ٠َا الإحْسَانُ إِلَيْهَا فَقَالَ أَشْبِعْ بَطْنَهَا وَاكْسُ جُثَّتَهَا وَاغْفِرْ ذَنْبَهَا ثُ٠َّ قَالَ اذْهَبِي وَسَّطَكِ اللهُ ٠4.

It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from Muhammad ibn Ali from Dhubyan ibn Hakim from Buhlul ibn Muslim from Yunus ibn ‘Ammar who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), gave in marriage to me a slave-girl who belonged to ‘Isma’il, his son and said, ‘Be good to her.’ I then asked, ‘What is the meaning of ‘be good to her’?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Provide her with sufficient food, clothes and forgive her sins against you.’ He (the Imam) then said to her, ‘You must go (with him), may Allah keep you on the middle path in what is for him.’” ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (20/325))
