Al-Kāfi - The Book of ‘Aqiqah (Offering Animal Sacrifice for a Newborn Child) Chapter: The Rights of Children عَنْهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي خَالِدٍ الْوَاسِطِيِّ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) يَلْزَ٠ُ الْوَالِدَيْنِ ٠ِنَ الْعُقُوقِ لِوَلَدِهِ٠ُ الْوَلَدَ لَهُ٠5.

It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from Muhammad ibn Sinan from abu Khalid al-Wasitiy from Zayd ibn Ali from his father from his grandfather who has said the following: “The Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘What parents’ declaring their children as disobedient entails for parents is exactly what children’s disobeying their parents entails for the children (both cases are extremely harmful ).’” شهور - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (1/84))
