Al-Kāfi - The Book of Food

Chapter: Eating and drinking in Gold and Silver Utensils َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ ثَعْلَبَةَ عَنْ بُرَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠) أَنَّهُ كَرِهَ الشُّرْبَ فِي الْفِضَّةِ وَ فِي الْقَدَحِ الْ٠ُفَضَّضِ وَ كَذَلِكَ أَنْ يُدَّهَنَ فِي ٠5.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Faddal from Tha’labah from Burayd who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), disliked drinking from silver and silver-coated utensils as well as silver coated containers of perfumes and combs.’” وثق كالصحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/67))
