Chapter: Drinking Water Excessively ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حَسَّانَ عَنْ ٠ُوسَى بْنِ بَكْرٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠) قَالَ لَا تُكْثِرْ ٠َادَّةٌ لِكُلِّ دَاءٍ. 4.

A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ali ibn Hassan from Musa ibn Bakr from certain persons of our people who have said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Do not drink water excessively, it is the substance of every illness.’” شهور - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/232))
