Ahmad ibn Muhammad has narrated from al-Husayn ibn Saâid from al-Nadr ibn Suwayd from al-Qasim ibn Sulayman from Jarrah al- Madâiniy who has said the following: âAbu âAbd Allah (a.s.), prohibited all of intoxicating substances. He (the Imam) prohibited the use of containers made of curved palm tree trunks and pumpkins used as containers for fermentation of al-Nabidh.
He (the Imam) said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, âWhatever is intoxicating in large quantity it is unlawful in small quantity also.ââ Ø¬ÙÙÙ - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (22/280))
